Easy Street assembled - now what border?

Now that I have assembled the center of the Easy Street mystery quilt I am quite confused which border idea to use.  I ordered a large print with lime/aqua/purple to use for the backing which might also suffice for a plain border if I decided to go that way, but there are so many pieced options.

Let's see:
Print border:
Checkerboard border:
Blue sawtooth border:
Piano key border:
Or some really wild options using a mirror image of the green triangle edge on the outside of an inner border, either pieced or plain:
(I rather like this one but I'm not so crazy as to want to MAKE it!)
Slightly more subdued and using the print border too.

What to do, what to do!

How about the checkerboard border followed by a print border?

checkerboard, the "weight" seems right for the body of the quilt.

Thank you SOOOO much....I couldn't decide between the chekerboard and piano key and after SEEING the images I believe I LOVE the piano key one. I think that is what I will do! Guess I will have to figure out the width of the piano keys with MATH......has anyone already done that??? If so, let me know so I can save my brain power! :)

I played around and came up with a different border for my easy street. Visit my blog and let me know what you think. I like yours and it is hard to choose one. I really like the print you chose for a border.

I like the checkerboard. I have some four-patches left over...wonder how many more I'd have to make?

Thanks for creating these designs!

Well, you know my vote. The checkerboard.. and seeing the mock up has convinced me that it was the right choice for me to start with.. Thanks for drawing it up for me. Cathy in TN

No matter what you choose it will be great. I think my favorite is the piano key.

I really like the sawtooth border. I don't think it's because of the piecing but because of the colour. The turquoise seems to make the turquoise in the quilt just pop--love it! So, if you don't want to hassle with all the sawtooth piecing, maybe a plain border with more turquoise? It is beautiful already, no matter what you do for a border!

I really like the checkerboard pattern. Just looks perfect.

Looking at the checkerboard pattern makes me start to quiver. I really like the quilt without a border, just an outside binding to contain it -- this quilt reminds me of a stained glass window, so beautiful without anything else trying to compete with it.

I think most of the borders are too busy and compete with the center of the quilt. I like the large print floral border. Congrats on finishing so quickly! I'm still working on mine.

I like the first one. Kaffe fabrics would be nice.

You have come up with some great ideas for the borders. I look forward to seeing your choice.

I like the checkered border option, but I LOVE the last one with the triangles on the outside. does your eq7 figure fabric requirements measurements and number of parts? would you be willing to share so I don't have to try and do the math myself? My brain will fry trying to do the math! LOL Thank you! madakamom@aol.com

I love the piano keys. Finishes the movement of the quilt body.

I'm liking a combination of pieced with the large floral as well.

I like the checkerboard boarder myself. But won't have enough of the green fabric to do it.

Wonderful ideas - now I need to reconsider just slapping on the plain borders I had settled on.

Thanks for sharing these border options. I have not even started my version yet, but I am planning on doing a peiced border of some kind and maybe enlarging it a bit. Maybe the peiced border will be enough. Thanks again.

Can't wait to see what border you choose - I like them all.

I love your Easy Street. The soft colours are really pretty. Good luck deciding on a border! I didn't border one of mine, and just did a plain 3.5" border on the other one. All your options look fantastic.
