Does Blogger mangle your post's formatting when you add pictures?

I have been fighting this from the beginning and am eager to find out if others have formatting problems with Blogger. If I add a picture to a post that has more than one paragraph, the line spacing after that first paragraph gets messed up and the lines are all crammed together. Most of the time I can fix it by selecting all the text, changing the font, publishing and then editing it and changing the font back to what it should be. This doesn't always work. You can see the problem on my post of January 31, which would not fix itself no matter what I tried. It's not that this line spacing problems really affects the post, it just looks terrible and inconsistent and the obsessive neatnik in me can't stand it. Does anyone else have this problem? I also can't make it insert a picture anywhere but the top of the blog.

So I put it to the readers: Does Blogger do strange things when you are posting?

Sometimes. But if you know html coding then it is fairly easy to fix. Not much help for you, I'm afraid.

Thanks. But, I only know a little about html and don't really do much with it. I may have to learn, though.

I have only just come across your blog which is why I am only just responding to this post
I can have awful trouble with Blogger and photos, most of the time I can't fix it.
Now I upload all the photos I want to post and then write the prose next to each photo. Not perfect but better

Is this happening for you in Explorer? That used to happen to me and I was so annoyed. I switched to Firefox and haven't had any problems since.

Otherwise, go into HTML mode, and delete the extra spacing. It's usually listed as < br > for page breaks or < p > and < /p > for paragraphs.

And I hate how the photos always upload on top. But I got used to it. I just upload all my photos in reverse chronological order, then do my typing.
