He wanted "bright"

My husband likes bright colors a lot more than I do. I veer toward the muted, dusty range of hues. But this quilt is for him. The fabric collection is "Java" by Deb Strain. The pattern is "True Blue" by Carrie Nelson, with a modified border by me. It may not be Kaffe Fassett bright, but it's a stretch for me. Now that I've completed all 100 blocks, I'm taking a break to work on some applique for a while.

I haven't seen that block or layout before: I like it. What is it called?

Love this quilt, you sound like me I like the earth tone reproductions, but it is fun to make quilts in "bright" colors too!

This is one gorgeous quilt! Bright and cheerful, but not in-your-face bright. And it looks like you used some stash to boot. I LOVE it!!! The design is also original appearing!

I guess I'll have to investigate more Nelson patterns. I have a couple of the books, but don't recall actually making a quilt from one. I like this one, too.
