Best dressed doggie

This has got to be the cutest dog coat ever, even if I do say so myself! I was paper piecing heart blocks a couple of weeks ago for the Pike River mine disaster charity quilts effort in New Zealand, and said "Red hearts would look very nice on my brother's dog." So, a dog coat was born.
Having no dog to model it, I pressed my trusty Juki into service:
I can't wait to see this on Pepper!
I liked it so much I made this one too in animal print for the diva that she is! Note the red lining.

I love love love it!!!! Any chance of a wee tutorial???? :D I have two wienie dogs, one of which has very short hair, who could benefit from this little 'jacket'. :)

You've got me today! I scroll down and see a dog coat on a sewing machine! More laughter on this side of the world! Thank you!

Anyone who loved has a calico AND who would use her sewing machine as a bodel for a doggie coat is MY KIND OF PERSON! You go girl!

By the way, I usually proofread things before I post them! Scratch "loved" and make "bodel" into "model" and my previous post will look better!
