Evidently I needed a refresher course in PAY ATTENTION. Here I was assiduously trying to make a pink and blue quilt when the fabric wasn't cooperating. The fabric wasn't cooperating because it wasn't supposed to be a pink and blue quilt. Never mind that I had chosen the blue because of the recipient's assumed color preferences (she wears a lot of blue, I'm told), the floral fabric that I was using for the basis of the Double Wedding Ring quilt did not want blue rings. It wanted green rings. Herein lies the proof:
See? Everyone is playing nicely now. I wanted to use green from the first but talked myself out of it. What the heck was I thinking?

That is more like it---that background print was just not playing nice with the blue. You are making it so use what your gut is telling you, right?
I would love to see what you are doing but darned Google isn't downloading photos this morning.
