Does anyone else have these cat cubes? I have NEVER gotten Her Highness to sleep in any other pet bed, but this one she loves. I saw it at Walmart last year but when I went to buy one at Christmas (OK, she gets a Christmas present under the tree - wrapped and everything. She usually opens it too.) they were sold out. I found this one last week before I went home to visit. She wasn't very excited at first, but I left it on the worktable in the computer room (but didn't remove the tag) so she could consider it while I was away. I figured I would return it later.The first night I was gone, she wandered into the computer room where my husband was online, jumped on the table, sniffed the cube a few times and crawled right in. And there she stayed for the whole evening. The next day, the same. Now she loves it. She's in there right now. He's usually on the computer in the evenings, and she can sleep in comfort and keep an eye on him at the same time - can't miss a mooching opportunity, don't you know. The only thing I would change about it is to make it a bit larger. She's a big thing, and the foam sides of the cube bulge when she stretches out. Twelve pounds of cat in a ten pound size box.
I suppose you could make one in a color to match your decor. The sides are 1/2" thick foam squares covered in nylon fabric, and the bottom is a 1 1/2" thick foam square covered on the inside with fleece. Just add a hole on one side for an entrance. One benefit of a covered bed like this is the cat's body heat makes the inside good and toasty. Great for the winter.

My cat is only lured to her bed occasionally by the catnip hidden in the lining. I would love for her to have a real bed so she wouldn't prance all over mine in the middle of the night. I shall have to investigate my local shops. Thanks!
She definitely looks cozy in there. they should make them for bigger for kids. My kids love hiding in small spaces too.
What a super kitty bed. We may just have to investigate finding a couple of them for our boys.
That's a great idea! But my gosh, am I going to have to buy or make 5? Maybe a cat apartment and stack them one on top of the other...

Cute cat bed...I wish they made bigger ones. There are alot of days, I would like to hide away from everyone!!!That would be good to just curl up in. Hugs, Linda
We had a cat cube from Walmart just like that one, except with a different print. Our older cat (when she was our only cat) liked sleeping in it. Then we brought home our younger cat, who retreated to certain safe spots to keep away from our older cat for the first couple of weeks. When I first saw Princess go into Itty Bitty's cat cube, I was speechless! Itty stopped using the cat cube, and after a while, Princess did, too. There was absolutely nothing I could do to get either cat to go into that cube! So we finally got rid of it. They're too funny. I'm glad your cat still enjoys the cat cube.
